Stay close to the pulse of the times and constantly thinking ahead in order to be able to continuously meet the sustainability-related challenges of the market: a self-imposed challenge that PAPSTAR is happy to meet - eyes wide open, with the necessary constancy, but above all with transparently and authentically.
With the introduction of our "pure" product line in 2008, PAPSTAR began to set an early course for converting the range of products towards "products made from renewable raw materials" (wood and virgin fibre cardboard, sugar cane, palm leaf, bamboo, maize and agricultural residues) and to successively increase their product share. The aim is to increase the use of cardboard products made from (FSC®, Forest Stewardship Council®) certified wood from domestic forests. After all, the company's activities have been linked to wood as a raw material since 1873.
Premium-quality products made of cardboard and paperboard have always been a strength of the PAPSTAR brand, which has its origins in the cardboard factory founded by Oswald Matheis in Olef in northwest Germany in 1873.
