Within PAPSTAR Holding AG, PAPSTAR GmbH plays a central role in the group’s logistics and supply chain, alongside many other responsibilities. At the heart of this is the fully automated central and high-bay warehouse in D-53925 Kall (Eifel, North Rhine-Westphalia).

Serving Solutions

The environmental challenges of our time are vast: PAPSTAR is leading by example and managing the entire life cycle of its products. The company no longer sees itself ‘merely’ as a distributor of disposable products made from renewable raw materials – products that are valuable from a hygiene and safety perspective – but also ensures that these items are recycled after use in the events sector.

The range comprises over 5,000 consumables from more than 200 production sites (including three within the company’s own group), covering the categories of disposable tableware and service packaging, tableware and room decoration, as well as products for the home, kitchen, personal care and hygiene.

Europe-wide logistics and service concepts ensure the continuous availability of the entire product range.

Supply chain Managament

Largely fully automated and efficiency-focused order-picking processes ensure that PAPSTAR can fulfil all order and dispatch types on a ‘just-in-time’ basis.

Central & High-bay warehouse

The logistics centre in D-53925 Kall boasts a state-of-the-art infrastructure with 70,000 pallet spaces and 100,000 additional box spaces, ensuring high efficiency and product availability.

Thanks to fully automated picking processes, an average of up to 22,200 orders are processed and dispatched each month – ranging from parcel shipments and general cargo to container shipments, either using our own fleet or via external carriers.

Transport & Fleet

As a logistics service provider with its own fleet (articulated lorries comprising Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks and Schmitz-Cargobull trailers), PAPSTAR continuously analyses all available fuel-saving technologies and invests in state-of-the-art, resource-efficient technology as well as eco-driving training for its 20 lorry drivers.

Quality management

DEKRA Certification GmbH certifies that PAPSTAR GmbH has implemented and maintains a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 at its Kall site (Daimlerstraße 4-8), in line with the standard specified in the certificate reference for the area of ‘Sales, logistics management and services for non-food product concepts’. DIN stands for the German Institute for Standardisation, EN for European Standard and ISO for the International Organisation for Standardisation. This has been verified by audit report number A24011475.

Logistics Excellence

PAPSTAR offers tailor-made solutions for partner companies whose goods flows can be seamlessly integrated into our own distribution channels. Online management systems open up new possibilities for intelligent solutions. Handling of dangerous goods or best-before date and batch management with seamless traceability, particularly for medical devices: Logistics 4.0 “made by PAPSTAR” is characterised by the fact that digitalisation combines efficiency in the supply chain with the conservation of resources.

Service organisation

As a service provider, PAPSTAR Service GmbH operates a Germany-wide service organisation (sales promotion, merchandising and point-of-sale management) that has been established for over three decades.

The core competencies of the field sales team – which comprises around 400 employees and operates primarily in (large) retail outlets – include:

  • Stocking and stock planning, returns processing and preparation, as well as troubleshooting for continuous optimisation, re-labelling campaigns, product-specific labelling, placement of sales aids and promotional displays to boost sales, layout implementation for space optimisation, the installation of new shelving or the relocation of existing shelving, the conversion of existing sales areas, and store checks based on criteria defined in advance with the client.
